I read this news article coming from BBC New's. The Headlines were "Valve's online game system Steam hit by hackers". The steam that the new's of tech were talking about was actually about a game downloader with HD quality and with no lag, games valve.
The initial investigation showed that the attackers gained access to a Steam database that held "user names, hashed and salted passwords, game purchases, email addresses, billing addresses and encrypted credit card information".
Mr Newell ordered that all forum users will be required to change their passwords when the discussion site re-opens, which the firm is trying to achieve as quickly as possible.
I think that this news has sunken into my memory because I've been hacked before by someone so I believe the best ways to not get hacked is to change the password from time to time.
